Calibrating a Sensor From a Card

Calibrating a Sensor From a Card

Introduction

In this video, you will learn how to calibrate a sensor based on reference sensor values. First, filter your cards to find the sensor card you wish to calibrate.
Next, flip over the card. Then navigate to connected climate sensors and select the sensor you wish to calibrate.
Next, click on calibrations and select the metric you wish to calibrate for this sensor.
In this menu, input the low and high reading of the day for this sensor on the left side and do the same for your reference sensor on the right side.
To identify the low and high readings of the day for this sensor, flip the card over and go to the insights for the card. Here, look for the graph of the metric you wish to calibrate and note the low and high points for the last 24 hours. We identify them as a low of 75.5 degrees and a high of 78.7 degrees.
Input these values into the “sensor reading” boxes we arrived at earlier as well as the corresponding values from the reference sensor you wish to calibrate this sensor to. After you save, your sensor is calibrated to read and plot the new data points it records within the same range as your reference sensor.
