The Agrowtek SXC Digital Indoor Environment Sensor provides precision, canopy-level environmental monitoring for greenhouses, indoor farms, research facilities, and other controlled environments.
The SXC combines air temperature, relative humidity, and PPFD light measurement in a compact, fan-aspirated sensor designed to hang directly above the crop canopy. Optional CO₂ and PLIR™ plant-leaf infrared temperature sensing expand the system for more comprehensive environmental monitoring and real-time VPD calculations.
Key Measurements
- Air Temperature
- Relative Humidity
- PPFD / Canopy Light
- CO₂ up to 40,000 ppm — optional
- Plant Leaf Temperature (PLIR™) — optional
- Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD)
Designed for Canopy-Level Monitoring
Continuous fan aspiration helps maintain accurate temperature and humidity measurements as environmental conditions change. The integrated PPFD sensor measures photosynthetic light at the crop canopy and offers sufficient low-light sensitivity to help identify unwanted light exposure.
The optional PLIR™ infrared sensor measures actual plant-leaf surface temperature, enabling more accurate real-time VPD calculations rather than relying solely on an estimated leaf-temperature offset.

Improved Enclosure
New enclosure design offers enhanced protection from elements including dust and mists while maintaining high air flow for sensor accuracy. A new hanger design simplifies installation allowing the cable to double as a rope to suspend the sensor.
