Connecting a Monitoring Card to a Device
This course walks through connecting a monitoring card to a device card, verifying that sensor data is being received correctly, and calibrating monitoring values when needed.
Before You Begin
Ensure your device card has been configured, validated, and is actively transmitting data. If you have not completed device setup, refer to the Device Provisioning & Validation guide before continuing.
Adding & Provisioning
1. Filter
Filter cards by monitoring.

2. Add The Monitoring Card
Add the Soil Condition card:

3. Flip & Configure The Card
Flip the card using the the double arrow locate on the car

Back of card:

Configure the card by providing a unique name, short description and assigned a zone.

4. Select Units of Measure
Select the unit of measure you would like displayed on the monitoring card. This unit will be used throughout the interface for day-to-day monitoring and operation.

5. Connect Monitoring Card
Click on " + Add a soil sensor" located below Units of Measure. A pop up will appear:

In this new pop up you can modify the name.

Under Sensor Card click on the down arrow and choose "Soil Moisture Sensor."

6. Sensor Device - Choose A Device
You are making a connection from a monitoring card to the device card. Choose the correct device card:

7. Connect Sensor Measurements
See below examples (not all soil sensors measure all of the above parameters. Only select the elements the purchased device measures).

8. Save
Once you have selected all elements, click to save the pop up window and save again at on the monitoring card:


You have now connected your soil condition monitoring card to the device card. Repeat this process for any additional monitoring cards.
