Activating Dragino Devices
Introduction
In this video you will learn how to activate, deactivate, and test the uplink status of your Dragino LoRaWAN devices.
First, locate the ACT button on your device. In most cases, it will be located next to a similarly sized LED light. Pressing and holding down this button for more than three seconds will activate the device. This action is marked by the LED blinking five times with a green color. Once active, the device will enter ‘working mode’ and begin attempting to join the local LoRaWAN network. After joining successfully, the LED will turn solid green for five seconds. To deactivate the device, rapidly press the ACT button five times. This will cause the LED to light up and remain solid red for five seconds, sending the device into ‘deep sleep mode’. Lastly, to test the uplink status of your device, press and hold the ACT button for between one and three seconds. If the device is connected to a LoRaWAN network and an external sensor, it will send an uplink packet to your operation with Microclimates and the LED will blink blue once. If it is not connected to an external sensor then the LED will blink red once.
