Alerts - Device vs. Monitor Cards
Introduction
Welcome to microclimates. In this video, we’ll show you when to set alerts at the device level versus at the monitor control or automation levels. So you can protect both your equipment and your environment. Device cards are the digital representation of your hardware. This is where you configure devices like sensors and actuators when they first arrive. Set device level alerts when you want to monitor the health of your hardware.
For example, set a flat line detection alert to catch early signs of battery failure on wireless sensors, or a maintenance alert on sensors to remind you when it’s time to calibrate. These alerts help with proactive maintenance and avoid downtime. Once your devices set up, your monitor, control and automation cards reflect your environment and operational logic. Set alerts here for key environmental factors like temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, light spectrum, power, and more.
These alerts help you respond quickly to protect your crops and optimize conditions to minimize risks and catch issues early. Think about the alerts that matter most for your operation. Device level are for your hardware monitor and above are for your grow environment. Thanks for watching. Need help setting up alerts? Email us at. Support@microclimates.com.
