How to Create and Add Elements to Maps
Introduction
Welcome to Microclimates. In this video, you will learn how to create a map and add elements to it. First, go to microclimates.com and log in to your account, which must be an administrator. Once you are logged in, you should see your account name on the top toolbar, which you can then click on to navigate to your locations. Next, click on the menu icon on the top left corner of your screen and select maps. Click on the plus symbol in the top right corner of your screen to add a new map template to this page. Once added, click on the map that you just made, and once it opens up, you can customize the map through this button in the top left corner. On the facility tab, you can list a name for location; an address, city and state; alter your time zone; or change the logo. You can also choose to hide or show this legend. On the map tab, you can add a name for your new map as well as add an image for the background of your map. On the layers tab, you can change your layer name, you can add text, you can add lines, and you can add areas. You can even add cards, which you can connect back to existing cards within your location. And when you’re all satisfied with your changes, you can head up into the file tab and save. Additionally, you can use the edit tab to undo, redo, cut, copy, paste, or the select tab to rearrange your layers. Now you know how to create and use maps on Microclimates. Thank you for watching.
