How to View & Annotate Graphs

Introduction

Welcome to Microclimates. In this video, you will learn how to view and annotate data on the Insights page. First, go to microclimates.com and log in to your account, which must be an administrator. Once you are logged in, you should see your account name on the top toolbar, which you can click on to navigate to your locations. Next, click on the menu icon in the top left corner of your screen and select Insights. To navigate between pages on the Insights tab, click on this top bar and use the arrow keys as well as Enter to select. To change the data polling interval, you can go to the Metrics tab and change between Metrics and LT, standing for Long Term. Under Metrics, you will get data polling every 15 seconds over the course of the last month. For Metrics LT, you will get data polling for every 10 minutes over the course of the last five years. Clicking Show Events will toggle on any events that happened that you might see in the event log down below. Clicking and dragging allows you to zoom in on a selection of the data. Holding Ctrl then clicking and dragging allows you to annotate a section of the graph. If you click on the title of a graph, you can inspect it to view all of the data points and export as a CSV. You can also click on View to expand it to a full screen view. In order to reset any data range selections, go to the top right, click here to set the absolute time range or the relative time ranges. To get more specific graphs from each of the cards that you see on this top bar, you can go down to Card Metrics and scroll through all of them. Now you know how to view and annotate data on the Insights page. Thank you for watching. Contact customer support if you have any further questions.
