Veea Inc.’s Cloud-to-Edge innovation sprint proposal was accepted by the Agriculture Innovation Mission for Climate or “AIM for Climate” initiative at COP28 UAE this past 2023, a collaboration between climate leaders and environmental entrepreneurs from the United States and United Arab Emirates.
The implementation of sustainable yield-maximizing and waste-preventing solutions is a critical need for populations with agriculture at the backbone of food security. Using Veea’s edge computing technology, smallholder farms in nations with low digital accessibility can apply tried and tested seed-to-table methods for optimizing resource usage and crop yield.
Plans for deployment of these technologies are already underway in thousands of villages across Indonesia, and Veea hopes to expand these efforts to 10 more countries with high agriculture reliance and low connectivity.
In the first half of 2024, an “innovation sprint” will be ongoing, appealing to partners and investors for support in expanding and accelerating the benefits of this initiative. Microclimates is proud to be listed as a partner in this endeavor, and hopes to help spread this message across our platform.
